Playing with a seal in Poole Harbour on the Hobie Eclipse

We rented our Hobie SUP board or ‘Hobie Eclipse’ from Pedalpaddle and took it to explore a few locations around Dorset and Devon.  This was our favourite moment from our 4 day break.

Location- Rockley Park, Poole Harbour, Dorset.

We took the Hobie Mirage Eclipse out on the water from the little sandy beach at Rockley Park in Poole where we were delighted to be followed by a local seal who seemed to be attracted by the movement of the fins under the board. The children were really thrilled to get so close to the seal who appearing to be enjoying playing a game with us. The seal would come up close next to the board pop his head up to say hello and then he would swim underneath and pop up on the other side. At one point he dived down and popped back up with a large flatfish in his mouth which he was keen to show us. The Hobie Mirage Eclipse was such a lovely way of exploring Poole Harbour and it was great to be able to get close to the local wildlife.   Thank you Pedalpaddle for the fantastic experience!
